The Authentic Texture of Freshly Sawn Wood Distinguishes New CertainTeed® Cedar Impressions® Triple 5-inch Straight Edge Sawmill Shingle Siding
Product line additions include industry-first matching mitered corners that blend neatly with shingle panels

(Malvern, Pa.) – Cedar shingles sawn in a lumber mill have a classic charm all their own. To capture this historically accurate look, CertainTeed, North America’s leading brand of building products, introduces Cedar Impressions® Triple 5-inch Straight Edge Sawmill Shingles, a three-course siding panel featuring authentic TrueTexture™ patterns. Molded from actual cedar shingles that replicate the effect of saw blades, the panels are reminiscent of those found on wood-sided homes constructed during the earliest years of European settlement throughout New England.
TrueTexture is also found on new Cedar Impressions Triple 5-inch Straight Edge Sawmill Offset Mitered Cornerposts. This patented accessory piece showcases a beveled-joint that blends seamlessly with the Triple 5-inch siding panel for full corner-to-corner coverage, including a patented offset design for a custom carpentry look.
“We’re really excited about our new Cedar Impressions siding products – each one featuring exclusive manufacturing technology not available anywhere else,” said Brian Kirn, senior marketing manager for CertainTeed Siding. “Homeowners and contractors now have even more beautiful alternatives to high-maintenance wood cedar shingles, each one looking like it came right from the sawmill. Yet each require no staining or bleach oil treatments to retain a fresh-cut appearance.”
Cedar Impressions Triple 5-inch Straight Edge Sawmill Shingles are five feet long and a sturdy and durable 1/10-inch thick. Both shingles and Offset Mitered Cornerposts are offered in 28 solid colors: Colonial White, Autumn Red, Autumn Yellow, Buckskin, Charcoal Gray, Cypress, Desert Tan, Flagstone, Forest, Granite Gray, Hearthstone, Heritage Cream, Herringbone, Ivy Green, Light Maple, Mountain Cedar, Natural Clay, Pacific Blue, Sable Brown, Sandpiper, Sandstone Beige, Savannah Wicker, Seagrass, Snow, Spruce, Sterling Gray, Suede and Terra Cotta.
Cedar Impressions Triple 5-inch Straight Edge Sawmill Shingles and Offset Mitered Cornerposts join the recently introduced Individual 5-inch Sawmill Shingles and Single 7-inch Perfection Shingles for the most realistic-looking cedar siding products available today. Individual Sawmill and 7-Inch Perfection shingles also feature proprietary CedarLife™ Color Blends, a progression of shades that capture the appearance of natural Eastern White Cedar and Western Red Cedar at different stages of life, enabling the selection of unique, random color patterns for one-of-a-kind exterior designs.
