(Valley Forge, Pa.) – The winning family of the CertainTeed Living Spaces™ Exterior Home Makeover Facebook® Video Contest is set to star in a 10-episode series of webisodes documenting their extensive home renovation journey. The videos, which are available on Facebook, feature the Pohl family of Pewamo, Mich., who received a grand prize of $75,000 worth of CertainTeed building products, including installation. Earlier this year, the family received the most ‘likes’ on Facebook for entering an original music video to CertainTeed’s Living Spaces Facebook page explaining why their home needed a facelift.

“The Pohl family video, which focused on transforming their 112-year old farmhouse back to its glory days, really struck a chord with Facebook users,” says Ken Warshaw, director of marketing communications for the CertainTeed Siding Products Group. “Our talented team of local credentialed contractors made their dream come true by utilizing a wide range of CertainTeed interior and exterior materials. We are excited to share their compelling story.”

With each new webisode, viewers can follow the Pohl family and their team of CertainTeed credentialed building professionals, including 5-Star and SELECT ShingleMaster™ contractors. Together, they detail every part of the process — from how they learned about the contest, contest video entry production and their initial home remodel consultation — to witnessing every stage of construction and culminating in a big ‘reveal.’

Entitled “Don’t Make Me Do This Myself!” the first webisode introduces the family, how they learned about the contest and came up with their winning entry, including footage of their first, not so successful, attempt. The second, “The Shame of the Land,” explores their first walk-around the property where they meet with 5-Star Contractor Jason Hosey of Turn Key Home Improvement to address key challenges, solutions and details of the project.

The first two webisodes can now be viewed at the CertainTeed Living Spaces Facebook page (www.facebook.com/certainteedlivingspaces) or YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/ctlivingspaces). Subsequent webisodes will air approximately every two weeks. Viewers are also welcome to participate in the makeover process by watching and sharing the videos on Facebook and Twitter (@CTLivingSpaces) to enter fun contests for a chance to win great prizes.

Future makeover webisodes will feature installation of vinyl siding, roofing, housewrap, exterior trim, as well as insulation and drywall for the home’s interior. Webisodes also showcase the finishing touches to the Pohl’s dream outdoor oasis — including CertainTeed fence, railing, and decking. You can also catch additional exclusive music videos featuring more original pop, rock, country and blues songs written exclusively for the contest. See the first one now at the CertainTeed Living Spaces Twitter page (@CTLivingSpaces).
