New CertainTeed® Perimeter™ Solid and Hidden Vent Soffit Combines Beauty with Better Airflow, Builds on Industry-Leading Exterior Building Product Line
(Valley Forge, Pa.) – CertainTeed Corporation is expanding its industry-leading exterior building product line with the introduction of a new, aesthetically pleasing solid and hidden vent soffit. The uniquely designed Perimeter™ soffit offers a smooth, flat non-perforated surface, which provides a balance of beauty and improved airflow performance. It is available in Triple 3 1/3-inch solid and hidden vent styles and comes in a wide range of 14 low-gloss colors.
CertainTeed is now the only manufacturer to offer two hidden vent soffit options — the premium InvisiVent® for a thicker, larger projection and optimum airflow, and Perimeter, a more economical version with better airflow.

Perimeter soffit is available in a 5/8-inch projection, .040-inch thickness and can be used with any type of CertainTeed vinyl, polymer shake or fiber cement siding. The solid version can be installed as either a solid soffit or vertical siding. The hidden vent style provides up to 9.65 inches of net-free intake area for proper roof ventilation. Designed for ease of installation, Perimeter soffit panels feature a post-formed lock popular with installers for its locking assurance and trouble-free handling.
Perimeter soffit is produced using CertaVin™ custom-formulated PVC resin, and features a Class 1(A) fire rating and a lifetime, limited warranty.
