(Valley Forge, Pa.) – This Memorial Day weekend, CertainTeed Corporation — North America’s leading brand of building products — is encouraging homeowners to grab their video camera and document their wish list for a dream outdoor oasis. Through the CertainTeed Exterior Living Spaces™ Home Makeover Video Facebook® Contest, one lucky winner will receive $75,000 worth of exterior building products, including installation. CertainTeed will also include landscaping and deck furniture.

“Memorial Day is the perfect backdrop for contest submissions since the weekend is often full of fun-filled get-togethers, and shooting a video is something everyone can really have a blast with,” says Ken Warshaw, director of marketing communications for the CertainTeed Siding Products Group.

To enter the contest, upload a 30- to 90-second video to CertainTeed’s Living Spaces Facebook page (www.facebook.com/certainteedlivingspaces) explaining why your home needs a facelift using CertainTeed’s expansive selection of vinyl and fiber cement siding, roofing, housewrap, decking, railing, fence and trim. CertainTeed will be accepting entries through June 15 and will announce the winner the following week.

“With 10 prizes available— including the grand prize makeover — the odds of winning are definitely in homeowners’ favor,” adds Maria McDonagh-Forde, director of marketing communications for the CertainTeed Roofing Group. “And, there is still plenty of time to enter.”

Video entries will appear on the CertainTeed Living Spaces Facebook contest page where visitors can vote for their favorite. The top 10 videos, as selected by Facebook users, will be in competition for a best overall pick by CertainTeed judges. The winning homeowner will also star in a series of video webisodes featuring their home’s remarkable transformation. The nine runner-ups will each receive $500 exterior living spaces prize packages. The makeover will occur during the summer by mutual agreement between the contractors and the homeowner.
