CertainTeed Brings Easy and Quick Installation to Ceiling Grid with Introduction of New Suspension Systems
(Malvern, Pa.) – CertainTeed, a leading North American building materials manufacturer, is excited to introduce two new suspension system options to the family of ceiling products - EZ Stab Bolt Slot and EZ Stab Tier Drop grids. Building on CertainTeed's commitment to smoother installations and superior performance, the new offerings provide increased strength and stability for easier ceiling grid installation. The grids also deliver the aesthetics and performance attributes architects look for when choosing products.
Understanding that quality counts with building materials, the new Bolt Slot and Tier Drop suspension systems were created to offer attractive profiles for standard and customized acoustical ceiling panels. Used with CertainTeed's Narrow Reveal panels, the Bolt Slot system consists of two different reveal/regress widths of 1/4 inch and 1/8 inch, which provide distinctive style and 3-dimensional look and feel. The Tier Drop system, which can be used with Trim/Flush panels, as well as Narrow Reveal, is equipped with centering tabs so panels have a consistent fit. While considered a dimensional profile, Tier Drop will also install in the same fashion as the more traditional 9/16-inch Elite Stab. Both profiles will feature a double-stitched web for added strength that resists twisting during installation.

As part of the new suspension systems, CertainTeed’s new EZ Stab clip adds strength and stability for easier installation. Unlike competitive products, the new EZ Stab clip is manufactured entirely from stainless steel and has staggered rivet holes that help to significantly reduce twisting.
