CertainTeed Announces $75,000 Exterior Home Makeover Video Contest on New Living Spaces™ Facebook® Page
(Valley Forge, Pa.) – CertainTeed Corporation, North America’s leading brand of building products, is celebrating the upcoming summer season by kicking off an Exterior Living Spaces™ Home Makeover Video Contest. Through the Facebook® contest, one lucky winner will receive $75,000 worth of exterior building products, including installation. Featured products include CertainTeed’s expansive selection of vinyl and fiber cement siding, roofing, housewrap, decking, railing, fence and trim — everything needed to create a homeowner’s dream outdoor oasis. CertainTeed will also include landscaping and deck furniture.
To enter, homeowners need to upload a 30- to 90-second video to CertainTeed’s Living Spaces Facebook page (www.facebook.com/certainteedlivingspaces) and explain why their home needs a facelift with CertainTeed siding, roofing, fence, decking, railing, and trim products. Entrants are encouraged to include family members and show off their enthusiasm and creativity in the videos, which will appear on the CertainTeed Living Spaces Facebook contest page where visitors, friends and family will vote for their favorite. The top 10 videos, as selected by Facebook users, will be in competition for a best overall pick by CertainTeed judges. The winning homeowner will also star in a series of video webisodes featuring their home’s remarkable transformation. The nine runner-ups will each receive $500 exterior living spaces prize packages.
The contest is a perfect way to officially introduce the new CertainTeed Living Spaces Facebook page, which offers tips on outdoor living trends, design inspiration, backyard safety, gardening and more. One lucky family will get their turn to be stars in the video webisodes, sharing their vision for their ideal outdoor living space oasis and offering commentary as our 5-Star, Master Remodeler and SELECTShingle Master Contractors complete every phase of the design and installation, making their new outdoor living space a reality. The new webisode series will be available on the CertainTeed Living Spaces Facebook page and CTLivingSpaces YouTube® Channel.
All video entries must be uploaded by 11:59 pm EST June 15. CertainTeed will announce the winner on June 19. The makeover will occur during the summer by mutual agreement between the contractors and the homeowner.
