Attic Insulation Projects Made Easy with New App from CertainTeed
InsulSafe® SP Mobile Field App calculates in-home estimates, and helps with installation and troubleshooting on the jobsite
(Valley Forge, Pa.) – Insulation contractors can look forward to much quicker project turnaround time thanks to the new InsulSafe® SP Mobile Field App from CertainTeed. Building on its industry-leading training and technical support initiatives, the new mobile app is tailored to meet the field support needs of CertainTeed insulation partners.
“The idea for the app was born from an installers need to have attic troubleshooting tips on hand at the time they need them most, on the jobsite,” said Liz McCarty, marketing communications manager for CertainTeed Insulation. “We then added features to the app to streamline the entire attic retrofit sales process, from calculations to quoting — making fast and easy in-home quotes a reality.”
The app — designed for use on iOS and Android™ devices — provides InsulSafe SP installers easy access to accurate estimate calculations, troubleshooting and safety information, as well as product information and attic installation tips.
The attic calculator includes a job quote tool, so with just a few taps, installers can choose the R-value and square footage of the attic. The app will then calculate exactly how many bags of insulation will be needed, and based on these calculations, the contractor can add cost per bag and other necessary fees to the estimate. Within minutes, a quote is ready, and photos can be attached and emailed to the homeowner waiting downstairs. By minimizing quote wait times and completing the sales process while still in the home, contractors should see an overall increase in close rates — and ultimately their bottom line.
The app now joins CertainTeed’s industry first CertaSpray™ Mobile Field app, and is available through the Apple® App Store and Google Play™. It will make its industry debut at CertainTeed’s exhibit (Booth#204) at the Insulation Contractor Association of America (ICAA) trade show, Oct 1-3, Red Rock Resort, Las Vegas.
